How to Treat Hand Edema?
-
Alternating Warm and Cold Water Immersion: Use water at 40-45°C and cold water at 5-10°C. Soak in warm water for 2-3 minutes, then in cold water for 1-2 minutes, repeating the process 5-10 times. End the treatment with warm water immersion.
-
Centripetal Wrapping of Fingers: Use a 1-2mm diameter thread to wrap the fingers from the distal to the proximal end, starting at the fingertips with a small loop. Wrap the thread quickly and tightly until it reaches the base of the finger, and then quickly pull the thread from the loop at the fingertip.
-
Centripetal Pressure Massage: Use the thumb to apply pressure from the fingertips towards the wrist, with the pressure adjusted to the patient's comfort level. Apply slow and steady pressure on the swollen area, 15 minutes per session, twice a day.
-
Intramuscular Effector Patches: Control the skin's direction by applying traction force with different densities of intramuscular effector patches, further promoting the permeability and circulation of the fascia system. At the same time, it can improve lymphatic and blood circulation, reducing upper limb edema.
-
Physical Factors: ① Use shortwave therapy to help dissipate swelling and clear inflammatory substances causing pain.
② Medium-frequency electric therapy can improve local lymphatic and blood circulation, eliminate local edema, and suppress sympathetic nerve function, improving the nutritional status of limb nerves and muscles.
③ The use of semiconductor laser therapy can effectively enhance vascular permeability, improve local blood circulation, reduce swelling, promote tissue repair, and relieve muscle spasms and pain.
